We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Psychiatric Technician in a part-time evening shift capacity.

About the Role

As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to mentally and emotionally ill patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a safe and positive healing environment, utilizing good judgment and critical thinking skills to address patient needs, and serving as a liaison between patients, family members, and the care team.

Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated expertise in a behavioral health setting, normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in psychology or social work with two or more years of related experience.
  • Experience in a psychiatric facility or related setting preferred.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
  • Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
