Job Title: Psych Tech

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psych Tech to join our team at Intermountain Hospital. As a Psych Tech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our patients.

About the Role:

As a Psych Tech, you will assist with planning and implementing services for an assigned program, working closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team to define and implement treatment goals. You will provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Program Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning and implementing services for an assigned program
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team to define and implement treatment goals
  • Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and Program Managers to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • CPI/seclusion/restraint training/certification
  • Knowledge of psychiatric care techniques
  • Knowledge of de-escalation and assaultive behavior management techniques
  • Thorough knowledge and training in CPR
  • Knowledge of all code procedures
  • Knowledge of adolescent and adult program rules and protocols
