Purpose of Role:

The Operator is responsible for operating console equipment that controls automatic palletizing machinery to sort, inspect, transfer, and stack 12 oz cans on pallets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading production and delivery schedules to determine sorting and transfer procedures
  • Observing beverage cans moving along conveyor belts to identify and detect defective products
  • Pressing console buttons to stop equipment and using a can hook to remove defective products
  • Controlling stacking arrangements of product on pallets and transferring loaded pallets to storage or delivery platforms
  • Stopping equipment to clear jams and informing supervisors of equipment malfunctions
  • Performing tasks as an Operator Sorter, including deflecting packages to predetermined accumulators or reject lines
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A GED or equivalent education
  • Mechanical aptitude and at least 2 years of manufacturing experience
