Audit Assistant

Job Summary
The University of Kentucky Internal Audit department is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to support our audit efforts. As an Audit Consultant Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of auditors to understand client business and organizational practices
- Participate in audits in the field, conducting research and analysis to identify areas of opportunity
- Research, read, review, and interpret federal and state regulations applicable to projects
- Take notes to support client interviews and analyze business documentation, reports, and data
- Develop workflows of business processes and assist in identifying areas of opportunity
- Enter and verify data, participate in team meetings, and initiate and perform cursory review of audit documents in the audit management system
- Support the development of auditor trainings and participate in all trainings
Requirements
- No supervisory responsibilities
- Preferred education and experience deadline to apply
