Job Summary

The University of Kentucky Internal Audit department is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to support our audit efforts. As an Audit Consultant Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of auditors to understand client business and organizational practices
  • Participate in audits in the field, conducting research and analysis to identify areas of opportunity
  • Research, read, review, and interpret federal and state regulations applicable to projects
  • Take notes to support client interviews and analyze business documentation, reports, and data
  • Develop workflows of business processes and assist in identifying areas of opportunity
  • Enter and verify data, participate in team meetings, and initiate and perform cursory review of audit documents in the audit management system
  • Support the development of auditor trainings and participate in all trainings

  • No supervisory responsibilities
  • Preferred education and experience deadline to apply
