Assembly Specialist 3

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team at Southern States LLC. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a critical role in the assembly, repair, and testing of electromechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and test electromechanical equipment, including Circuit, Line Load, Capacitor Switchers, and similar products.
- Transport parts from storage to the work area manually or using an overhead crane.
- Remove burrs and rough surfaces from metal parts using hand files or portable pneumatic grinders.
- Brush lubricant on moving parts and fit parts together on a bench, following blueprints.
- Insert shims between parts to realign or level parts and verify alignment and clearance.
- Bolt, screw, and rivet parts together.
- Set up and operate drill presses and hydraulic or manual presses.
- Connect electric wires to terminals of subassemblies.
- Move subassemblies to and from storage areas.
- Assist other operators during product assembly by supplying needed components or tools.
- Assist in the transportation and setup of equipment for testing.
- Maintain equipment and working areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Up to one month of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to use simple mathematical and geometric devices, such as calculators, calipers, scales, measuring tapes, etc.
