About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Nirvana Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while expanding your accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare required schedules to manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Oversee and assist in managing the tax function with our external tax consultants.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all accounting and finance software and other financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide audit readiness support as the company prepares for its first external audit.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a CPA designation is preferred. The candidate should have 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred but not required.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements, and proficiency in NetSuite is preferred but not required. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
