Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our healthcare technology support team, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Manage equipment inventory and schedule service as needed.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Ensure test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Respond to equipment-related issues and concerns from clinical departments.
  • Research and order repair parts as needed, staying within budget parameters.
  • Provide training to equipment users and Crothall Services Group staff as requested.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service strategies and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management programs.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience servicing clinical equipment in a hospital environment.
  • Valid driver's license for field service positions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications for tracking service histories and producing reports.
