Job Summary

Crothall Healthcare is seeking a Biomedical Technician II to join our team in Kansas City, MO. As a Biomedical Technician II, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and support equipment, managing equipment schedules, and ensuring test equipment is working properly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment
  • Conduct electrical safety inspections and ensure compliance with established standards
  • Manage equipment schedules and ensure timely maintenance
  • Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper function
  • Respond to equipment-related issues and concerns from clinical departments
  • Research and order repair parts as needed
  • Provide informal training to equipment users and Crothall Services Group staff
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment
  • Valid driver's license (for field service positions requiring travel)
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of computer applications for tracking service histories and producing reports
