About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our Associate Experience group, you will play a critical role in developing tools that empower our associates to better serve customers at the checkout lanes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop full stack applications using multiple technologies such as React JS, Java, Spring, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify short- and long-term goals, review and provide feedback for proposed solutions, and perform design and code reviews.
  • Develop efficient code to automate repetitive and manual tasks, and maintain an unwavering focus on Observability to ensure everything can be measured.
  • Direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues, and work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack development of highly scalable applications.
  • Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.
  • Passion for reviewing code, expertise with Automation Tools, and strong customer focus and obsession with quality.
  • Proficiency in back-end technologies and experience in developing APIs using Java, Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
