The Patient Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing patient interactions and ensuring the seamless flow of information throughout the healthcare process. This position involves the collection of insurance details and personal information upon patient arrival. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing patient check-ins and check-outs, and providing comprehensive administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the mission and values of KureSmart in all interactions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and their families.
  • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Gather and verify demographic, insurance, and financial information, entering it accurately into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Assist patients with electronic forms and registration processes.
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurances, deductibles, and outstanding balances, ensuring accurate daily reconciliation.
  • Process patient intake forms and schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
  • Coordinate patient procedures in alignment with insurance protocols.
  • Organize tasks efficiently to support patient satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is current and available at the time of service.
  • Handle phone inquiries, screening calls to determine urgency and directing them appropriately.
  • Manage appointment scheduling through various channels including phone and in-person.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the waiting area.
  • Prepare necessary procedure packets.
  • Participate in required training and development sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet navigation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with healthcare professionals and the public.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Accurate in handling financial transactions.
  • Effective in following both verbal and written instructions.
  • Flexible with scheduling and able to manage stress in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and logical reasoning capabilities.
  • Ability to meet established quality standards.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • One year of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Travel Requirements:

Reliable transportation is necessary, with potential travel required for up to 25% of the time across various KureSmart locations.
