Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Space Systems Development team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for our space-based projects.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for space-based applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger systems
  • Conduct testing and analysis to ensure mechanical systems meet performance requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Expertise in 3D CAD programs, including Creo and GD&T
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems
  • Experience with thermal modeling, analysis, and design
  • Knowledge of versioning tools, such as Git and Windchill
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Experience working in agile development environments
  • Developed and delivered space flight hardware
  • Experience with vacuum chamber testbeds
  • Experience in lunar and planetary exploration
