Position Overview
This role is integral to the Space Systems Development (SSD) division, which focuses on pioneering concepts and systems to facilitate sustainable living and working in space. Our mission is to expand humanity's reach beyond Earth, exploring and harnessing new energy and material resources.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of our dedicated engineering team, you will engage in hands-on activities at our facility, contributing to the development and demonstration of ISRU technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in all stages of rapid product development, from initial concept through design, implementation, integration, and environmental testing.
  • Utilizing your expertise in mechanical engineering to provide practical solutions to complex challenges.
  • Collaborating in a fast-paced environment, where design, analysis, and testing cycles are critical to delivering innovative solutions.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (such as Creo) and understanding of GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with the fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with thermal modeling and system integration.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of related experience.
- Experience in agile development environments.
- Background in developing space flight hardware and working with vacuum chamber testbeds.
