About the Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated HR Manager to support our manufacturing plant in Chicago Heights, IL.

As a trusted business partner, you will work closely with the site management team to provide strategic support and foster a culture where team members can reach their full potential.

You will be responsible for all phases of the employee life cycle, including attracting, developing, and retaining talent. This role requires strong business partnership capabilities, influential skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field of study, and at least 5 years of relevant experience within equivalent or similar HR roles. Knowledge of legal requirements relative to recruiting, records retention, ADA, FMLA, and other standard HR procedures is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Operations Manager & site management team on strategy, process improvements, and change management in alignment with the Division's objective.
  • Manage full-cycle talent acquisition activities for all non-exempt and exempt roles.
  • Support the onboarding experience in conjunction with hiring manager to transition and integrate new employees into the organization.
  • Support the performance management cycle, advising and coaching in areas of goal setting, mid-year feedback, and year-end performance reviews.
  • Participate in compensation planning and conduct wage survey data analysis to ensure a fair and competitive compensation package.
  • Participate in talent reviews, help calibrate talent assessments, and support development plan opportunities and actions.
  • Serve as the employee engagement champion, leveraging the ITW Employee Experience Framework to drive a high-performing and collaborative culture.
  • Lead Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, consistently supporting and communicating our D&I commitments.
  • Manage employee relations situations and investigations with consistency and urgency, providing coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Participate on safety committee to instill an 'I own safety' mentality with a 0-incident goal.
  • Provide technical and analytical support in relation to employee benefits administration, compensation administration, and HRIS system maintenance.
  • Process payroll bi-weekly and act as the liaison for the facility and finance/corporate payroll teams.
  • Manage all FMLA, STD, ADA, and Workers Compensation cases, supporting employees through these processes.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
