Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Aide to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging department, providing administrative and clerical support to our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the activities of the department, including communication, requisitioning, and managing of supplies, equipment, and staff.
- Interact and communicate with personnel from various departments and support services, as well as the public and department coworkers.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the department, including test ordering, test result processing, and scheduling of guests/customers.
- Maintain consistent records for billing and tracking, including activating accounts, patient in/out, and film sign-/sign/out log.
- Responsible for patient/data management, including rescheduling guests/patients and maintaining a system for cancellations, pathology, etc.
- Provide safe direct patient care, including changing table configuration and assisting technologists, radiologists, and nurses as needed.
- Coordinate cases as directed by the technologist or provider, and retrieve needed patient-related documents from the computer for radiologists and staff.
- Follow network policy for patient identification, assist with placing patients on and off procedure tables using appropriate body mechanics, and provide clerical support to the clinical team in critical value reporting.
- Stock and clean rooms as necessary, record temperature on refrigerator and warmer, and maintain adequate supply of materials for daily use.
- Comply with hospital, local, state, and federal regulatory and accrediting standards, as well as department-specific protocols and policies.
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Previous data entry experience.
- Lifts a minimum of 25 lbs, pushes and pulls a minimum of 50 lbs, and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
