We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound, utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.
- Conduct portable ultrasound exams and assist physicians with Ultrasound guided Interventional procedures, as required.
- Determine, prepare, and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment for exams.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, explain procedures, measure and position patients for each anatomical view.
- Evaluate technical quality of images and obtain and process images of pathogenic conditions in accordance with standard procedures or techniques.
- Maintain records of ultrasound taken, archiving and de-archiving data as required.
- Calibrate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to students, employees, and medical residents.
- Adhere to the policies of Employee ID, Standards of Behavior, Attendance, and Punctuality.
- Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
