Position Overview:
The Credit Portfolio Senior Officer I plays a pivotal role in overseeing strategic risk management initiatives for a portfolio of prominent co-branded credit cards. The primary aim of this position is to optimize risk and returns through strategic projects that influence various products, while continuously monitoring the portfolios to identify enhancements that can elevate customer experience by streamlining and automating risk processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct significant business initiatives and oversee the execution of projects, engaging with senior stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships to support and implement business strategies, including collaboration with the Centralized Risk Infrastructure team.
  • Evaluate risks associated with business decisions, ensuring adherence to the firm's standards and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by promoting compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Drive process enhancements and efficiencies by collaborating effectively with Audit management and leveraging consumer risk function expertise.
  • Conduct thorough analyses to identify and rectify any discrepancies arising from policy modifications.
  • Provide ongoing insights regarding all initiatives, including tracking progress, reviewing outcomes, and reporting on emerging trends to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in credit risk management or a related field, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale projects and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SAS or SQL programming, along with strong skills in MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data comprehensively while maintaining a detail-oriented approach to prioritize and deliver results promptly.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation, negotiation, and strategic capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in gaining support and consensus among diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exemplary work ethic and persuasive skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
