Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients, administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, and implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment, and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, including education and training of patients and families.
- Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of all equipment, and participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.
- Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses, and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
We require an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education. No experience is required, but a strong foundation in respiratory care principles and practices is essential.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires constant standing and walking, frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs, and occasional lifting/moving of patients. You must be able to use your senses to detect and respond to patient needs, and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
