Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients, administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, and implementing and monitoring patient care plans and equipment.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment, and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, including education and training of patients and families.
- Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of all equipment, and participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.
- Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses, and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
We require an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education. No experience is required, but a strong foundation in respiratory care principles and practices is essential.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires constant use of speech to share information through oral communication, constant standing and walking, and frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far, and frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication and distinguish body sounds.
