Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment, and communicate patient condition to healthcare team.
- Assess and evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of equipment, and process equipment per established cleaning/sterilization procedures.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Respiratory Care Practitioner certification from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
