Customer Service Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Assistant at H-E-B. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading groceries, as well as answering product-related questions and offering additional or alternative products and services.
  • Package groceries and assist customers in transporting their purchases from the store to their vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and disposing of trash and recyclables.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds and manage more than 55 pounds, with occasional exposure to cold, hot, loud noises, and wet conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in customer service or retail sales preferred.
