Position Title: Epic Implementation Consultant

Position Overview

As an Epic Implementation Consultant at Optum, you will be instrumental in linking individuals with essential care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources necessary for their well-being. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Epic implementation for Healthy Planet and adept in facilitating workgroups and Orion
  • Deliver expertise in Epic product functionality, design, build, and testing for assigned Epic module related to Epic Healthy Planet applications
  • Engage with end users to design and construct the Epic system efficiently and professionally, making necessary configurations or enhancements
  • Manage small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade projects or workflow enhancements
  • Participate in design and validation sessions, ensuring thorough documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation
  • Offer technical and/or clinical consultation, including application configuration
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges
  • Active/current Epic certification in Epic Healthy Planet or another primary clinical application
  • 4+ years of experience with Epic applications
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% to client locations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications and/or experience with Epic Ambulatory, MyChart, Healthy Planet, EpicCare Link, and Care Everywhere
  • 2+ years of experience in team management, cross-team communication, and leadership
  • All remote employees must comply with company policy
