Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at a renowned addiction treatment center in the Northeast region.

This is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours per week. The schedule can include various shifts, including weekends.

About the Role:

  • The selected candidate will conduct initial histories and physical examinations, order lab tests, prescribe medications, and make referrals as needed.
  • They will assess and monitor clients' physical conditions and responses to medications throughout detoxification and residential phases.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough physical exams, review medical histories, and identify potential medical issues for detox stays.
  2. Evaluate clients to ensure they are at the appropriate level of care for medically-monitored detox.
  3. Order diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays) as necessary, and analyze results to inform treatment decisions.
  4. Prescribe and adjust medications under the medical director's supervision, ensuring safe and effective treatment.
  5. Refer clients to hospitals or specialists when required, prioritizing their health and well-being.
  6. Monitor withdrawal symptoms and manage day-to-day health needs in both detox and residential settings.
  7. Review lab results, follow up on abnormal values, and update client health records accordingly.
  8. Participate in treatment planning, identifying care needs during detox and post-discharge phases.
  9. Maintain accurate and comprehensive health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
  10. Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.

Requirements:

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current APRN licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Active RN licensure in the state of Connecticut.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is prorated based on experience level:

Level I (1 year of experience): $105,000 - $120,000 per year.

Level II (2+ years of experience): $115,000 - $135,000 per year.

Level III (3+ years of experience): $130,000 - $150,000 per year.
