Job Title: Training / Patient Services Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Training / Patient Services Specialist to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical and non-technical training to our staff, developing and implementing training materials, and ensuring consistency across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing employees in the Patient Services Department, including computer functions, specimen collection and processing, patient care gold standards, quality control/assurance, and patient service center standard operating procedures.
  • Write and update procedures, implement roll-out and required training of new procedures, and develop training materials for customized training.
  • Perform site visitations and process analysis to verify adherence to SOPs, compliance, and safety, and conduct site visits to enhance performance of sites not meeting corporate metrics.
  • Conduct externship interviews, assess phlebotomy skills, provide training for externs, and provide feedback to the Territory Manager/Supervisor on extern performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot implementation of corporate initiatives, and keep a year-to-date spreadsheet for the territory on easypay, open invoice, PCGS, e-learning, and training initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience or 3-5 years of relevant training experience.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, occasional overnight travel, and specific vision abilities required by the job.
