Job Title: Patient Services Representative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Services Representative to join our team at eMDs. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle Services team, you will play a critical role in assisting patients with understanding and settling their balances.
Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone, ensuring timely and professional communication
* Follow all company policies and procedures as defined by eMDs leadership and the HR department
* Respond to customer requests in a courteous and respectful manner, maintaining a positive attitude and fostering a positive team environment
* Consult directly with customers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their issues and requests
* Clearly communicate with customers, both verbally and in writing, in a professional and respectful manner
* Set customer expectations and handle stressful situations with ease
Requirements:
* Minimum of one year combined healthcare or phone-based customer service experience
* Ability to thrive in a high call volume environment
* Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Availability to work between 7AM and 7PM CST
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Knowledge of medical billing or insurance
Language Skills:
* English (required)
* Spanish (conversationally fluent)
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
* Ability to lift 50lbs
