Position Overview

The Software Developer will be responsible for designing and developing intricate new software products or significantly enhancing existing software solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive developer with substantial experience in creating scalable data platforms and is comfortable working in an agile setting with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and modify software systems, applications, and tools, both existing and prospective.
  • Evaluate user requirements and software specifications to assess the feasibility of designs within time and budget constraints.
  • Rectify errors by implementing necessary changes and re-evaluating the program to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications to confirm they yield the expected results and that instructions are accurate.
  • Organize and maintain documentation of application development and subsequent revisions for clarity and understanding.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, service providers, vendors, and users to develop innovative programming methodologies.
  • Develop and enhance sophisticated new software products in a self-directed, agile environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in front-end UI development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript development with frameworks such as Angular, React, or ExtJS.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies including Elastic Search, Mongo DB, Node, Hadoop, Map Reduce, Spark, Rabbit MQ, and NiFi.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with distributed computing technologies like Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Apache Spark is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
