Currently, Markon is in search of a dedicated, career-oriented AI Application Developer to enhance our capabilities. This role is structured as a Hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain software solutions tailored for AI and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to seamlessly integrate models into operational software systems.
  • Engage in the creation and deployment of APIs and microservices that underpin machine learning models and data workflows.
  • Craft user-centric front-end interfaces for effective data visualization and interaction with AI systems and machine learning models.
  • Participate in code evaluations, testing, and debugging to uphold superior software quality standards.
  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines to optimize the development and deployment processes.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning and software engineering, integrating best practices into the development lifecycle.
  • Employ design thinking and other solution-oriented methodologies to address challenges that support the creation of insightful, human-centered design solutions.
  • Extract knowledge from clients regarding business challenges and incorporate that understanding into algorithms, models, and solutions.
  • Identify AI and data science opportunities within non-AI projects to enhance their functionalities.
  • Translate technical requirements related to machine learning applications into prioritized agile tasks aligned with client objectives.
  • Facilitate solution development through collaborative brainstorming sessions with clients, partners, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to solutions through software engineering and algorithms, integrating machine learning and addressing technical challenges related to AI application development.
  • Communicate insights to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex technical concepts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of software development experience, or a Master's degree with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Familiarity with software development frameworks and tools.
  • Strong grasp of AI and machine learning principles and their implications for AI-based software solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience in front-end development using frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Proven experience in establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage in client-facing discussions and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Significant experience in developing applications that integrate AI and machine learning.
  • Advanced expertise in the integration and optimization of AI and machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for the continuous integration and deployment of machine learning models.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, particularly in conveying information to senior executives.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for over 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and senior personnel.
  • Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Frequently interacts with co-workers, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information.
  • Occasionally needs to move around the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.

The projected compensation range for this position is $79,300-$133,100. Various factors can influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications.
