Currently, Markon is seeking a driven, career-focused AI Application Developer to enhance our team. This position offers a Hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions tailored for AI and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to seamlessly integrate models into production software systems.
  • Engage in the development and deployment of APIs and microservices that support machine learning models and data workflows.
  • Create and implement user-friendly front-end interfaces for effective data visualization and interaction with AI systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold high software quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enhance the development and deployment process.
  • Stay updated with advancements in machine learning and software engineering, applying best practices in development.
  • Utilize design thinking and other solution-oriented methods to address problems, ensuring insightful and impactful design solutions.
  • Gather knowledge from clients regarding business challenges and integrate that understanding into algorithms and models.
  • Identify AI and data science challenges in non-AI projects to improve project capabilities.
  • Translate technical requirements related to machine learning applications into prioritized agile tasks based on client goals.
  • Conduct solution development through collaborative sessions with clients and colleagues.
  • Contribute to solutions through software engineering and algorithms, addressing technical challenges in AI application development.
  • Communicate findings to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex technical language for client understanding.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of software development experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Familiarity with software development frameworks and tools.
  • Strong grasp of AI and machine learning principles and their implications for AI-based software solutions.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience in front-end development using frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including client-facing discussions and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in developing applications that integrate AI and machine learning.
  • Advanced expertise in AI and machine learning model integration and optimization.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment of ML models.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, particularly in conveying information to senior executives.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Occasionally moves about the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.

The projected compensation range for this position is $79,300-$133,100. Various factors can influence the final salary, including relevant work experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications. Additionally, Markon offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, retirement savings, and professional development opportunities.
