Key Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will possess a solid background in agile software development methodologies and best practices in software engineering design. The role involves collaboration within a cross-functional Scrum team, focusing on software development, defining acceptance criteria, scripting, and leveraging Open Source and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tools for test automation, documentation, and integration tasks.

Core Duties:
  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug software applications and systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Engage with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and other stakeholders to design systems and gather information regarding project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems utilizing scientific analysis and mathematical models to forecast and evaluate design outcomes and implications.
  • Oversee software system installations and monitor equipment performance to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct software engineering and development tasks related to the support, maintenance, and enhancement of software.
  • Implement and integrate bug fixes and new feature enhancements using DIA standard development tools and methodologies (e.g., Java, Jira, Git).
Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • A relevant bachelor's degree with over 10 years of applicable experience OR a master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 6 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement (higher or lower levels accepted based on years of experience).
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including, but not limited to, Java, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Experience with CentOS, RHEL, and ORACLE environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies: PostgreSQL, Oracle.
  • Experience with modern techniques such as REST, JSON, Spring, Spring Boot, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience with Docker, KeyCloak, Wildfly, Tomcat, and ArcGIS.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with EC2 and S3.
  • Understanding of network administration and security protocols across various domains.
  • Experience with Joint Intelligence Operations Command (JIOC) applications and/or intelligence data.
  • Experience within the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) or other DoD security domains is highly desirable.

Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
