Key Responsibilities- Accurately document patient information, including symptoms, history, physical exam, and treatment plans, in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Assist providers with documentation of patient visits, including transcribing dictations and placing orders for laboratory tests, radiology tests, and referrals.
- Document procedures performed by providers or nurses in the electronic health record system.
- Transcribe results of laboratory tests, x-rays, and other evaluations, and ensure that patient charts are complete and up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed, such as processing portal communications and facilitating communication among the care team.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience with electronic health records preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
