We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team at Marin Community Clinics. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of our patient care by accurately documenting patient information in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
Key Responsibilities- Annotate dictated or written information for patient treatment, following local, state, and federal guidelines for documentation.
- Record patient symptoms, history, physical exam, and diagnosis, as well as treatment plans, in the EHR system.
- Accompany clinicians into patient examination areas or join appointments remotely to transcribe patient information.
- Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, referrals, and other medical procedures.
- Document procedures performed by providers or nurses in the EHR system.
- Transcribe consultation or discussion with family and/or providers.
- Complete patient charts by transcribing lab results, x-rays, or other evaluations.
- List proper diagnoses and follow-up instructions, as dictated by providers.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Records preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, and speak).
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- Ability to multi-task work duties.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent follow-up ability.
- Ability to use a computer and work with electronic health records.
