Job Summary:

Registration of Outpatient, Pre-admissions and Admissions to CarolinaEast Health System.

Responsibilities:

  1. Registration of patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Verification of patient information and insurance coverage.
  3. Coordination of pre-admissions and admissions processes.

Requirements:

High School diploma with additional courses in medical terminology, bookkeeping, computer use, and office machines.

Two years in a clerical healthcare setting preferred.

Complete the nine (9) courses assigned for the Patient Registration Counselor within the registration education module.

A passing grade of 80 is required for all courses and courses must be completed within 6 months of date of hire.

These courses are designed to improve employee performance and gain competence in the role as well as enhance the patient experience.
