Job Title: Lead Field Service Technician

Eaton's Critical Power Solutions division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Lead Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers and serving as a technical advisor for operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance in an on-call environment with regional responsibility.
  • Provide technical support to customers and serve as a technical advisor for operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
  • Work with other Critical Power Solutions engineers and technicians to ensure seamless execution of field services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and products to provide expert advice and support to customers.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Power Systems, Battery technologies, and/or Electronics experience (coursework and internship experience apply).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted State Driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. This position is based remotely. All candidates considered must reside within the greater Syracuse, NY area. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related field from an accredited institution or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering program from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience working with Power Systems, Battery Technologies, and/or Electronics.
  • Ability to read schematic drawings and knowledge of troubleshooting, test, and repair techniques.
  • Electrical Technology Certificate from an accredited institution.
