The Adult Support Specialist role at Family Rescue is a full-time position requiring effective case management, documentation, and communication with internal and external agencies.

Job Description
  • Key Responsibilities:
  •   Providing individual and group counseling to adult victims of domestic violence.
  •   Developing service plans jointly with each client and monitoring progress.
  •   Linking clients with outside resources, including WIC, TANF, legal Aid, and other community agencies.
  •   Providing legal advocacy and emotional support in court.
  •   Assisting in obtaining Orders of Protection.
  •   Providing crisis intervention to walk-in clients, call-in clients, or clients referred by other means.
  •   Coordinating and advocating with outside entities, including social service organizations, mental health organizations, and legal/law enforcement agencies.
  •   Providing community presentations and trainings to public and private entities.
  •   Serving as a liaison between Family Rescue and the community.

The ideal candidate will have a B.A. degree in social service or a related field, with 40-hour domestic violence training and CPR/first aid certification. The position is salaried non-exempt, with a pay group of Level 16, offering an estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
