Lead Financial Analyst

Overview

Fleetcor is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Payment division. This role is essential within our Revenue Assurance Group. As a key member of the Accounting Department, you will report to the Senior Accounting Supervisor and work closely with various team leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Assisting in revenue recognition processes, including month-end closing tasks, journal entries, and accruals to ensure precise financial reporting
  • Responding promptly to management requests for preliminary month-end financial reviews and variance explanations
  • Monitoring and reinforcing internal controls, identifying gaps, and suggesting enhancements to reduce risk
  • Collaborating with team members to verify the accuracy of financial account balances
  • Acting as a liaison with other departments to analyze financial balances, resolve issues, and support strategic initiatives
  • Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting related to revenue, offering insights and recommendations
  • Mentoring team members to establish clear objectives and evaluate performance
  • Engaging in special projects and other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience; CPA track preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting roles; public accounting experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Experience in fintech, finance, or technology sectors is a plus
  • Interest in process enhancement and IT system projects
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; effective problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX; familiarity with ASC 606 is beneficial
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic perspective
