Job Summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Chief of Staff to lead our veterinary hospital operations in Albuquerque. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hospitals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop associate veterinarians to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care and meet hospital performance expectations.
  • Drive a culture of quality and safety at the hospital level, ensuring compliance with industry, regulatory, and Banfield quality standards.
  • Perform regular hospital visits and quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce turnover risk and improve doctor engagement and retention.
  • Partner with the Director of Veterinary Quality to identify and develop future veterinary talent for leadership roles within the practice.
  • Manage medical equipment inventory and functionality, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and meets Banfield's standards.
  • Actively participate in local, state, and national veterinary organizations to cultivate relationships and promote Banfield's brand reputation.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board.
  • 3 years experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
