The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Division Chief of the Occupational Therapy Graduate Program. This is a full-time faculty position that offers a competitive salary and a supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the Occupational Therapy Graduate Program, including curriculum development, budget management, and facilities management.
- Serve as a professional liaison with the university and national/local communities.
- Teach courses at the MOT and ppOTD levels, advise graduate students on their thesis or project, and mentor research.
- Recruit and manage a team of core faculty, administrative staff, and students.
- Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Academic credentials for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Above.
- Four years of full-time faculty experience.
- Two years of occupational therapy clinical experience.
- Eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of New Mexico.
- Research doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- More than 5 years of full-time faculty experience.
- Experience in program administration and management.
- Evidence of teaching and/or curriculum development experience and effectiveness.
- Evidence of scholarly activity.
- Evidence of mentoring graduate students on research, capstone, or other scholarly projects.
- Success in obtaining research and/or programmatic funding.
- Evidence of organizational and/or professional leadership.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
