Early Childhood Educator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Infant Teacher to join our team at JCC Indianapolis. As an Infant Teacher, you will work with infants 6 weeks through 18 months, collaborating with your Co-Teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain supportive relationships with families, responding to each child's individual needs and interests;
- Maintain accurate daily records and document children's developmental progress and interests using our communication platform;
- Create an emergent learning environment using the Creative Curriculum, Early Learning Foundations, and Sheva Center Framework;
- Provide high-quality care and active supervision to children, ensuring a physically and emotionally safe environment for learning;
- Embody and model the JCC's Internal Service Standards of Respect, Gratitude, Communication, The Golden Rule, and Ownership/Accountability.
Requirements:
- Preferred credentials include: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with at least 6 college credits in Early Childhood Education preferred; or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education; or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential;
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an Early Childhood Education program;
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Must be CPR & First Aid Certified.

Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced, and the position requires high mobility, standing, walking, bending, and sitting on the floor at the child's level. Must be able to lift and carry young children up to 50 pounds.
