Job Summary

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at LewisGale Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing nuclear medicine procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and maintaining radiation safety standards. Responsibilities
  • Perform all established nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and dosimetry
  • Administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by physician
  • Order, prepare, and store radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper handling and disposal
  • Interact with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies program/plan
  • Manipulate raw data and review studies for correct positioning and overall quality
  • Participate in on-call duties and/or work variable shifts to meet department needs
Requirements
  • Graduate from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Certification by CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification
