Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Processing: Review and process patient claims to ensure accurate and timely payment.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing.
  • Account Management: Manage patient accounts to ensure accurate and timely payment.
  • Communication: Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to resolve account inquiries and issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex account issues to ensure accurate and timely payment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in healthcare billing or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a timely manner.
  • Software: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A) certification preferred.
  • Experience: Three years of experience working in the healthcare field, preferably in a medical billing department.
