Job Summary:

As a Refund Specialist at Patient First, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely refunds to patients and insurance companies. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in managing the Transfer Credit Balance Report and recording misapplied payments. Additionally, you will be responsible for following departmental policies for returning payments to senders as needed. Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate adjustment corrections accurately
  • Generate refunds to patients, insurance companies, etc.
  • Work the Transfer Credit Balance Report daily
  • Record misapplied payments
  • Follow departmental policy for returning payments to senders as needed
  • Use and maintain office equipment as trained

Requirements:
  • Employee must be 18 years or older
  • Minimum typing experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Good analytical skills
