We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working seamlessly with other healthcare team members, and supporting VA patient satisfaction initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to optimize patient health
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Consult with specialty services as needed
- Utilize computerized/electronic medical records to document patient care
- Provide patient education and counseling on health conditions and treatment options
- Initiate consultations/referrals to specialty services as indicated
- Order diagnostic studies, such as laboratory tests and x-rays, to evaluate and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Perform health promotion and disease prevention activities
- Complete medical documentation in accordance with bylaws and regulations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss and determine the best treatment plan for patients
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English
- Must have a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Must have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Must have completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
Primary Care experience is highly preferred
