Job Description: Shelter Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Shelter Support Specialist. This position involves providing support to staff and participants through answering the crisis line and screening potential participants for admission. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers Certificates (provided by the employer).

About the Role:
This position requires a high level of organization and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, officials, and the public. They will also be responsible for maintaining inventory of shelter food and supplies and assisting with activities and groups.

Responsibilities:
The Shelter Support Specialist will be responsible for:
- Answering the crisis line and screening potential participants for admission
- Maintaining inventory of shelter food and supplies
- Assisting with activities and groups
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, officials, and the public

Requirements:
The successful candidate must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean motor vehicle report. They must also be able to lift 35 pounds up to 20% of the time and pass a pre-employment drug screen. Additionally, they will need to obtain and maintain an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report.

Salary: Estimated $30,000 - $40,000 per year based on location and experience.
