Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Shelter Coordinator to provide crucial support to individuals and communities impacted by natural disasters. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality case management services and ensuring timely assistance to those affected.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver case management services to disaster victims, including application assistance and recovery planning.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case files and documentation.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of disaster response and recovery strategies.
Requirements:
  • Prior case management experience required.
  • Must have reliable transportation (must use own vehicle).
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work on site and drive during operating hours to visit shelter locations.
  • Social work experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor during incidents.
  • Knowledge of social services resources and support systems.
  • Bilingual (required).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
Benefits:
  • $24/hour salary.
  • Temporary assignment with potential for extension.
  • Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch).
  • Work on weekends may be required.
