Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Cardiology team at Saint Francis Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care for patients with a range of cardiovascular disorders, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and surgical interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in unit leadership and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in cardiovascular care, including knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
  • Stay current with advances in cardiovascular care and participate in ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
  • BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Acute care, medical-surgical, and cardiology experience preferred.
  • ACLS and Stroke Certification preferred.
