Surgical Cardiology Registered Nurse

At Trinity Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Cardiology Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Surgical Cardiology Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with a spectrum of cardiovascular disorders, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and surgical interventions.
Job Summary:This is a full-time, night shift position that requires 24 hours of work per week, with a paid 6-hour differential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care, medical-surgical, and cardiology experience, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to patients with cardiovascular disorders, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and surgical interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including RNs, LPNs, PA/APRNs, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and Hospitalists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
- BLS (AHA/ARC).
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, Acute care, Medical-Surgical, Cardiology experience, ACLS and Stroke Certification.
Full-time, night shift position, 24 hours per week, with a paid 6-hour differential.
