Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Cardiology team at Saint Francis Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with a range of cardiovascular disorders, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and surgical interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including thoracic, vascular, and general surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in unit leadership and contribute to the development of clinical skills and critical thinking abilities among nursing staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
  • BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree.
  • Acute care, medical-surgical, and cardiology experience.
  • ACLS and Stroke Certification.
Work Schedule

Full-time position with a 36-hour workweek, days (7am-7pm).
