Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Cardiology team at Saint Francis Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with a range of cardiovascular disorders, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and surgical interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and surgical interventions.
  • Collaborate with a strong, interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in unit leadership and contribute to the development of clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, hospitalists, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
  • BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Acute care, medical-surgical, and cardiology experience preferred.
  • ACLS and Stroke Certification preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, 36 hours per week, days, 7am-7pm, rotating weekends and holidays.
