Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Cardiology team at Saint Francis Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with a spectrum of cardiovascular disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiovascular disorders, including dysrhythmias, atherosclerotic disease, and surgical interventions.
  • Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in unit leadership and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding cardiovascular health and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
  • BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Acute care, medical-surgical, and cardiology experience preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position with a 36-hour workweek.
  • Days shift, 7am-7pm.
