Momentum, a leading nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with disabilities in Southern California, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Program Services to oversee the day-to-day operations of its Adult Day Programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with licensing interpretive guidelines and applicable state and federal laws and regulations, while promoting positive outcomes and overseeing the health and safety of all individuals participating in Momentum's programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Program Managers and other assigned team members, and complete annual performance evaluations in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with program and service guidelines and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- Develop, implement, and/or amend program designs, as required
- Network with responsible agencies and other appropriate groups to maximize occupancy in all service lines
- Work with the Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely budget, rate, census, vendor, and licensing information
- Collaborate with the Development Department on strategies and projects to forward the mission of the organization
- Model commitment and accountability when interacting with family members and friends of individuals supported to facilitate positive interactions and well-being
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Therapists and Program Assistants, as required
- Provide weekly supervision and coaching to the program team, as needed
- Assist with managing disciplinary issues for staff, in collaboration with Human Resources, as needed
- Oversee departmental payroll tasks, including employee maintenance documents and timely submission of timecards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field, highly preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, required
- Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role, required
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Must have a valid California driver's license, insurance, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
