Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement orientation and educational programs for nursing staff, including infection control training.
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, including infection control policies and procedures.
- Lead by example and develop a team environment among nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and quality care.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to oversee the provision of care by licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a current California LVN/RN license in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- Current certificate and training in Staff Development.
- Certified Infection Preventionist preferred, with ability to achieve certification within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of two years of experience providing direct nursing care to aged and chronically ill or mentally disabled patients, and one year in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the field of nursing.
